Another favorable judgment in the „swiss franc case”

Recently, the Firm has obtained another favorable decision of the Court of Appeal in Krakow, Civil Division representing a borrower fighting for his rights in the so-called „Swiss Franc case”.

In June 2023, the Firm’s client obtained a favourable judgement in the proceedings before the court of first instance – the District Court in Kraków in a dispute regarding a 2009 loan agreement with Deutsche Bank Polska S.A., Warsaw branch denominated in Swiss francs and the loan agreement was deemed invalid. The District Court in Kraków ordered Deutsche Bank to refund the Firm’s client an aggregate amount equal to PLN 260,753.59, CHF 253,583.50 equivalent, as well as accrued interest and costs of the proceedings, in full grant of the Firm’s client’s request. The appeal proceedings did not overturn the favorable verdict of the court of first instance.
