A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University. Marta Nagajska was awarded a master’s degree in law in 2019, when she defended her master’s thesis “Ochrona dóbr osobistych aktorów teatralnych i filmowych jako artystów wtykonawców” under the guidance of prof. dr. hab. Andrzej Matlak, at the Department of Intellectual Property Law. She was granted the scholarship of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University for the best students. As a member of the Scientific Club of the Sociology of the Law, she participated in various scientific conferences devoted to the issues related to the social and cultural dimension of law. In 2019 in the monograph “The phenomenon of migration and ethnic and national religious minorities – social, political and legal aspects” her work has been published. During her studies she completed internships in law and tax offices. She also gained experience working in a company dealing with the creation and service of international projects related to the financial and fintech industries. She has been associated with the Law Firm since May 2022.

Aleksandra Żurek

Absolventin der Fakultät für Rechtswissenschaften und Verwaltung an der Jagiellonen-Universität. Sie schloss ihr Studium mit Auszeichnung ab und erhielt 2022 ihren Master-Abschluss nachdem sie eine sehr gute Masterarbeit verteidigte, die sie unter der Betreuung von Dr. Radosław Flejszar in der Abteilung für Zivilverfahren unter dem Titel „Zulässigkeit von rechtswidrig erlangten Beweisen in Zivilverfahren” verfasste. Mehrfache Empfängerin des Stipendiums des Rektors der Jagiellonen-Universität für die besten StudentInnen. Während ihres Studiums engagierte sie sich im Wissenschaftlichen Arbeitskreis für Zivilprozessrecht (TBSP) an der Jagiellonen-Universität, wo sie wissenschaftliche Konferenzen mitorganisierte und aktiv daran teilnahm sowie zusätzliche Kurse für Studenten abhielt. Im Jahr 2021 nahm sie an zwei nationalen Mannschaftswettbewerben für Zivilverfahren teil und belegte den ersten Platz: Moot Court Lex Specialis und Moot Court Civilis. Im Jahr 2022 war sie Mitbegründerin des Teams, das im Finale der von Deloitte organisierten Tax Academy den zweiten Platz belegte. Erste Berufserfahrungen sammelte sie im Rahmen eines Praktikums in einer Anwaltskanzlei und am Landesverwaltungsgericht. Von 2022 bis 2024 war sie bei Deloitte, einer internationalen Steuerberatungsgesellschaft, beschäftigt. Im Jahr 2023 legte sie erfolgreich die Aufnahmeprüfung ab und begann ihre juristische Ausbildung an der OIRP (Regionale Kammer der Rechtsberater) in Krakau.

In 2022, she was awarded a master’s degree in law with honours, when she defended her master’s thesis: „The Admissibility of unlawfully obtained evidence in the civil procedurę”, written under the guidance of prof. UJ Radosław Flejszar at the Chair of of the Department of Civil Procedure, with a ‘very good’ result. She was a multiple recipient of the scholarship of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University for the best students. During her studies, she was involved in The Jagiellonian University Civil Procedure Students Society (KN Postępowania Cywilnego TBSP UJ), where she co-organized scientific conferences and participated in them, as well as conducted extra classes for students. In 2021, she took first place in two national team competitions in the field of civil procedure: Moot Court Lex Specialis and Moot Court Civilis. In 2022, she co-created the team that placed second in the finals of the Tax Academy organized by Deloitte. She has gained her first professional experience through an internship at a law firm and the Provincial Administrative Court in Cracow. In 2023, she successfully passed the entrance exam and commenced an attorney-at-law training at the Cracow Bar Association.

Absolwentka Wydziału Prawa i Administracji Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego – ukończyła studia z wyróżnieniem, tytuł magistra prawa uzyskała w 2022 roku, broniąc na ocenę bardzo dobrą pracę magisterską przygotowaną pod opieką dr hab. Radosława Flejszara w Zakładzie Postępowania Cywilnego pod tytułem „Dopuszczalność dowodów uzyskanych w sposób sprzeczny z prawem w postępowaniu cywilnym”. Wielokrotna stypendystka stypendium Rektora UJ dla najlepszych studentów. Podczas studiów zaangażowana w działalność Koła Naukowego Postępowania Cywilnego TBSP UJ, w ramach którego współorganizowała konferencje naukowe oraz brała w nich czynny udział, a także prowadziła zajęcia dodatkowe dla studentów. W 2021 roku zajęła pierwsze miejsce w dwóch ogólnopolskich drużynowych konkursach z postępowania cywilnego: Moot Court Lex Specialis oraz Moot Court Civilis. W 2022 roku współtworzyła drużynę, która uplasowała się na drugiej lokacie w finale Akademii Podatkowej organizowanej przez Deloitte. Pierwsze doświadczenia zawodowe zdobywała poprzez praktykę w kancelarii prawnej oraz w Wojewódzkim Sądzie Administracyjnym. W latach 2022-2024 zatrudniona w międzynarodowej firmie konsultingowej Deloitte, w sektorze doradztwa podatkowego. W 2023 roku z pozytywnym wynikiem złożyła egzamin wstępny i rozpoczęła aplikację radcowską przy OIRP w Krakowie.

Specjalizuje się w prawie podatkowym, prawie cywilnym procesowym oraz obsłudze podmiotów gospodarczych.

A graduate of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science in the field of Applied Mathematics. She obtained her master’s degree in 2021 defending her thesis entitled “Four Lines in Space”. In 2021-2022, she completed an internship at the Corporate Branch of mBank S.A. in Krakow, which allowed her to gain professional experience in the field of administration and analysis of statistical and financial data. Since 2015, she has been involved in the activities of the Terra Futura association by organizing mass events and participating in student conferences. Lucyna Broniewska-Łaguna was awarded a master’s degree in law in 2020, when she defended her master’s thesis “Instytucja małego świadka koronnego w polskim prawie karnym” [Institution of the “small crown witness” in Polish criminal law] written under the guidance of prof. UJ Janusz Raglewski at the Chair of Criminal Law with a “very good” result. She was granted the scholarship of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University for the best students multiple times. As the board member of a Scientific Club of Criminal Law at the Jagiellonian University she organized and participated in a number of national scientific conferences and prepared workshops for law students. She passed the TOLES exam for legal English at the Higher level with an “excellent” result. During her studies she commenced internships and traineeships in a law firm, Court and District Attorney in Cracow. In 2021-2022 she was employed in the civil department of the District Court in Cracow as a judge’s assistant. In January 2022 she commenced an attorney-at-law training at the Cracow Bar Association of Attorneys at Law. She has been working with the Firm since February 2022.

A graduate of the Cracow School of Art and Design, Faculty of Visual Merchandising. In 2011 she completed the studies with honor. For several years she worked with one of the biggest media group in Poland, which allowed her to gain professional experience in administration. After that she has been conducting business in fashion industry and creating the fashion brand, which allowed her to gain professional experience in management. In 2020 she commenced the studies at the J. Tischner University in Cracow, Faculty of Linguistics and Business.

She has been working with the Firm since February 2022.

A graduate of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Faculty of Management majoring in scientific information. In the years 2012-2014, she completed internships at the Pontifical University Library, in the Municipality Office, in the secretariat of a medical company, as an archivist and clerk, which allowed her to gain professional experience in administration and in-house services of public institutions and enterprises.

From 2014 to 2016, she worked as a general manager and was responsible for creating the company’s brand, team management and marketing.

From 2016 to 2019, she held an office position providing comprehensive secretarial services and as a data acquisition specialist in a company distributing specialised medical equipment. In the years 2019-2021 she worked as a logistics specialist dealing with supply chain organisation. In parallel, she was involved in the coordination, handling and clearance of grants within European Sub-measure 1.2.2 – research and development into the infrastructure of enterprises, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

She completed a course in “OSINT” – obtaining information through the proprietary Open-Source Intelligence Method, a course in Terms of Delivery Incoterm 2020 and MS Office operation.

Aleksandra Gierlicka-Adamus was awarded a master’s degree in law in 2017, when she defended her master’s thesis “Monizm a dualizm prawa autorskiego – analiza porównawcza ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem Niemiec i Polski” [Monism and Dualism of Copyright Law – a Comparative Analysis with Particular Consideration of Germany and Poland] written under the guidance of prof. dr. hab. Ryszard Markiewicz at the Chair of Intellectual Property Law, with a ‘very good’ result. She was granted the scholarship of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University for the best students four times. In 2016, she graduated from the School of German Law with a ‘very good’ result and ranked as the best student in her year. Aleksandra Gierlicka-Adamus also completed a language course in legal German with a very good result. During her studies, she completed internships in the TIGGES law firm in Düsseldorf, Bundestag and in Cracow courts. In January of 2018, she commenced attorney-at-law training at the Cracow Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law. As of 2021, an attorney-at-law. Aleksandra Gierlicka-Adamus specialises in civil law (substantive and procedural law), intellectual property and competition protection law, and in protection of personal interests.

A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. She was awarded a master’s degree in law in 2019, when she defended her master’s thesis “Axiology of the Law of Heritage Monument Protection”, written under guidance of prof. dr hab. Piotr Dobosz at the Department of Administrative Law. She was a repeated recipient of the bursary for best students of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University. She also graduated with a bechelor’s and master’s degree in the protection of cultural goods at the Institute of Art History at the Jagiellonian University, defending her thesis in the field of protection of heritage from the second half of the 20th century. During her studies, she was actively involved in multiple student research groups. Throughout university, she gained experience in a notary public and attorney’s offices at the Provincial Administrative Court in Krakow and at the Department of Monument Protection of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. In 2020-2021, she was employed in the State Treasury and Real Estate Department of The Lesser Poland (Małopolska) Governor’s Office in Krakow. She has been associated with the Firm since June 2021

In January of 2021 she commenced an attorney-at-law training at the Cracow Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law. She has been with the Firm since November 2020.

Kinga Trzcińska was awarded a master’s degree in law in 2018, when she defended her master’s thesis “Wybrane zagadnienia przestępstw seksualnych w polskim i amerykańskim prawie karnym” [Selected Issues Concerning Sexual Offences in Polish and American Criminal Law] written under the guidance of dr. hab. Włodzimierz Wróbel, Professor of the Jagiellonian University at the Chair of Criminal Law, with a ‘very good’ result. She was granted the best student scholarship by the Rector of the Jagiellonian University four times. Throughout the period of her studies, Kinga Trzcińska was involved in the activities of academic clubs and the Board of Academic Clubs of the Jagiellonian University. She has gained her professional experience through internships and traineeships completed at law firms in Cracow. In 2020, she completed second cycle history studies (archiving major) at the Department of History of the Jagiellonian University and was awarded a master’s degree. Kinga Trzcińska specialises in civil law (substantive and procedural law), international private law, cross-border succession proceedings and administrative law (with particular consideration of investment processes).

European perspective) with honours. She defended her master’s thesis “Historyczny kontekst duchowych wartości i godności Ukraińców podczas Pomarańczowej Rewolucji (2004/2005) i Rewolucji Godności (2013/2014)” [The Historical Context of Spiritual Values and Dignity of Ukrainians during the Orange Revolution (2004/2005) and the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity (2013/2014)”] written under the guidance of prof. dr hab Włodzimierz Mokry at the Chair of Ukrainian Studies, with a ‘very good’ result. She was twice granted the scholarship of the Rector of the Jagiellonian University for the best students. She has been cooperating with the Law Firm since March 2019.

Justyna Doniec was awarded a master’s degree in law when she defended her master’s thesis “Znaczenie pól eksploatacji w umowach prawnoautorskich. Zagadnienia wybrane” [The Significance of Fields of Use in Copyright Contracts. Selected Issues.] written under the guidance of prof. dr. hab. Ryszard Markiewicz at the Chair of Intellectual Property Law (2017). She also completed LL.M studies at the Universität Heidelberg in Germany (2019). Justyna Doniec graduated from the School of German Law and the School of Austrian law at the Jagiellonian University. She received the scholarship of Westfälische Wilhelms – Universität Münster, the Central Office of the DAAD German Academic Exchange and the Allerhand Advocacy project entitled “Law in the Public Interest”, implemented at the Allerhand Institute in Cracow. First place winner of national competitions in intellectual property law, including ITele©t (2016) and IP Challenge (2017). Justyna Doniec has gained her professional experience in law firms in Cracow and Warsaw as well as abroad (in Germany). In 2018, she commenced her the advocate apprenticeship at the Warsaw Bar Council. She has been cooperating with the Law Firm since June 2020.

Magdalena Podskalna was awarded a master’s degree in law in 2001 after defending her master’s thesis “Instytucja wykonawcy testamentu” [The Institution of the Estate Executor] written under the guidance of prof. Bogusław Gawlik at the Chair of Civil Law, for which she received a ‘very good’ grade. In 2004, she completed post-graduate studies at the Chair of European Law of the Jagiellonian University. Her diploma dissertation, written under the guidance of dr hab. Barbara Iwańska, concerned environmental protection in community law and the network of the Natura 2000 protected areas. During her studies, she completed internships in courts and in the Local Government Appeal Authority in Cracow. In 2019, Magdalena Podskalna completed a training course in mediation organised by the Supreme Bar Council in Warsaw, on which basis she was entered on the list of Permanent Court Mediators maintained by Presidents of Regional Courts in civil and economic cases. In 2016 she became an advocate. Magdalena Podskalna has been cooperating with the Law Firm since February 2012.

Her areas of specialisation include civil law (substantive and procedural law), in particular cases concerning the division of joint property (marital property, assets of the estate, property of partners in civil law partnerships), family law and company law.

A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University. Anna Paradowska-Piech was awarded a master’s degree in law in 2008, when she defended her master’s thesis “Opodatkowanie dochodu osób fizycznych z tytułu zbycia i realizacji praw z maklerskich instrumentów finansowych” [Tax Treatment of Natural Persons’ Income from the Disposal of and Execution of Rights under Brokerage Financial Instruments] written under the guidance of prof. Bogumił Brzeziński at the Chair of Financial Law. One year before that, she graduated from the School of French Law. In 2013 she became an advocate. In 2019, Anna Paradowska-Piech completed the second degree of certification for an independent accountant at the Accountants Association in Poland, which granted her the title of an accounting specialist. She has been working with the Law Firm since January 2008.

Sergiusz Szuster graduated from the School of German Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University (third place in 2000). In 2010, Sergiusz Szuster was awarded a PhD in law (major: administrative law), after defending his PhD thesis on administrative jurisdiction written under the guidance of prof. Jan Zimmermann. Since 2002, he has been cooperating with the Polish and German Centre for Banking Law and the Coordination Centre for Foreign Law Schools of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University as, among others, a lecturer and coordinator of the School of Polish Commercial Law for Foreigners and Post-graduate Studies in Polish Commercial Law for Foreign Lawyers – LL.M. Programme in German. Sergiusz Szuster has gained his professional experience in (among others) the legal department of InfraServ GmbH & Co. Höchst KG, Frankfurt am Main, and in such law firms as Eckert, Klette & Kollegen in Heidelberg, Linklaters in Frankfurt am Main and J. Stelmach, A. Dziewałtowski-Gintowt, A. Kłos, J. He specialises in administrative law (substantive and procedural law), public commercial law, real property law, international succession law and in legal aspects of returning nationalised enterprises and expropriated real estates.

A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University. Katarzyna Szumielewicz was awarded a master’s degree in law in 1997, and obtained a ‘very good’ result. She passed her bar examination in 2003 (receiving a ‘very good’ result and ranking as second best student in the year). She became a partner in the Law Firm in January 2008.

Her areas of specialisation include court proceedings in civil and commercial law, predominantly real property law (including property law) and law of obligations (including construction claims). Katarzyna Szumielewicz has many years of extensive experience in providing comprehensive services with regard to real property and investment processes, mostly for the hotel and developer industries, including foreign investors. She conducts real estate due diligence, advises in the preparation and negotiation of real property acquisition and disposal transactions and the funding of such transactions.

In the course of her studies, having received the Sasakawa Foundation scholarship, she completed internships at the University of Southampton at the Chair of Maritime Law and at the University of Montpellier at the Chair of Commercial Law. She completed copyright studies at the Institute of Intellectual Property Law in Cracow under the guidance of prof. Ryszard Markiewicz; in 2005 she was awarded a PhD in law. In the same year, she passed her bar examination with an excellent grade (which was the first excellent grade granted in the post-war history of the Cracow Bar Council of Advocates). From 2007 to 2015 she was a member of the Commission for Training of Trainee Advocates of the Cracow Bar Council. Since 2008, she is a member of the Programme Committee of the Free Media Observatory the at the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights. She lectured at Postgraduate School of Copyright Law, Publishing Law and Press Law offered by the Institute of Intellectual Property Law at the Jagiellonian University, at the Postgraduate School of Personal Interests Protection run by the Chair of Civil Law at the Jagiellonian University and delivered lectures for trainee advocates at the Cracow Bar Council of Advocates. She authored scientific publications, including two monographs: “Ustawowe uprawnienia niezapłaconego sprzedawcy ruchomości w prawie upadłościowym”, Zakamycze (Cracow 2001) and “Prawo do integralności utworu”, Wolters Kluwer Polska (Warsaw 2007). She became a partner of the Law Firm in January 2008.
